How To Install: Sunroof Ambient Light (Skylight) for Mercedes-Benz GLE
Mercedes-Benz GLE panoramic sunroof ambient light installation tutorial.
Match the atmosphere lights of the original car, embellish the skylight, light up the starry sky, and add charm to your vehicles interior.
Installation process of panoramic sunroof ambient light (skylight).
1. The light guide body with silicone strip is pasted in the gap between the skylight slide rail and the ceiling.
2. Install the lamp holder on the light guide body and tighten the screws to prevent it from falling.
3. The ambient light wiring harness is hidden in the gap under the silicone strip.
4. After fixing, the effect is shown in the figure below.
5. The ambient light harness exits through the gap in the B-pillar ceiling.
6. Remove the front door frame to hide the ambient light wiring harness.
7. Remove the vehicle's left front footwell lamp.
8. Connect the ambient light connector to the left front footwell light connector.
2. Troubleshooting guide If the ambient light in the sunroof is not on:
Know the address of the ambient light.
Check whether the front left footwell light has an ambient light.
Check if the adapter plug has any abnormality.
Check if there is a short in the wiring harness.
Check if the lamphead is turned off.
